Kathy, your little Finnegan is a doll! As far as the breath have you tried brushing his teeth? Now is a good age to get him accustomed to it. It could certainly be the bones if they are fresh and left sitting out especially. I think some people boil them to kill off some of the bacteria that accumulate on them. Is it possible he could have a baby tooth that didn't fall out that is decaying? Have you checked is mouth over carefully to make sure there isn't any injury or infection in the mouth? As far as the barking, I suggest that you join the training group and post your question as a discussion (up above) rather than in this comment section. It is just easier for people to reply. Hi, Finnegan is my Aussie Labradoodle. He's 5 months old tomorrow. He loves the dog park, is Mr. Social, will wrestle with any dog of any size.
I wish I could do something about 1, his breath (is it the bones he;s been chewing?) and 2, his barking in the house for attention (especially if I am on the phone). All of that considered, he's the love of my life these days, my little doodlebug.

You never know what the DNA might say for our dogs, but they are what they are and the multigenerational ones look startlingly similar so whatever is in them is fairly consistent.

I think it's all a lot of nonsense. But Beverley infused wheaten terriers into her new perfected ALDs, or so she says,  over the last several years. She claimed it helped a number of things including decreasing ear infections.

Thanks Adina.

Linda, if you scroll up in this group you will see a very recent discussion about it. Also if you search the main forum archives (outside of this group's) for the term 'cobbadog' you will find another discussion. Both may answer your questions.

I am confused.  What dog would be considered an Australian
Cobba Dog?  Adina, what does the wheaton terrier have to do with it?

Rutland Manor and Tegan Park has renamed their brand Cobbadog--this means nothing for the ALD's already in existence who have NO wheaten terrier in them.

Unfortunately, my dog is a true ald with lab in her so I'm not sure if the group definition changes if I would still be able to be a member

Welcome new members of the ALD group, Marta, Andy, and Tom.  I, for one, was happy to see that it was being considered (decided?) to name the ALDs, Australian CobbaDogs.  Some time ago, there was a posting here on DoodleKisses that somebody had had their ALD tested and there was no lab in her labradoodle.  I felt that there was no lab in my ALD also.  He has no lab traits, but plenty of puli looks and traits.  What do you think?
