Good luck Nancy, Ned, and Clancy!  We're rooting for you too!  We have 2 other labradoodles in our CGC class.  Both are adorable.  One is beautifully behaved but very very timid.  The other is a BIG standard who literally pulls his owner across the floor but will sit or lie down quietly to be petted...so she's fine unless she has to move.  Finney is the only "flying doodle" -- his heart just seems to burst if you look his way!  OH and did I mention the vacuum cleaner!!  Fire engines with sirens blazing right next to him don't bother him but 8 months and the vaccum still throws him into the zoomies!  I guess we all have our challenges :)

Good luck, Joan.  As long as there are no pockets to pick, Treasure will do fine, I'll bet.  And if there are pockets to pick, it will just charm everyone!!!

Both doodles will be taking the CGC exam on April 30.  Our biggest problem is the grooming.  They don't consider brushing and foot handling a fun thing so they may hold still or they may roll on their sides or they may shy away.  No tellin'

Joan, good luck to you and Treasure on Monday. He's adorable! Will be sending good thoughts your way!  Finnegan is testing in 4 weeks and we're facing the same challenges.  I feel your pain.  Finn knows his commands and he'll sit quietly for a stranger IF they don't make a big deal but if he knows the person or the other dog, he's overcome with happiness. He is the youngest dog in the class so we have a lot of work to do.  He knows he's not supposed to jump up.  He's even gone so far as to stand on his hind legs and bounce backwards several times without ever touching the person.  I'm pretty sure that's still a "fail."  But Treasure stealing the wallets takes the prize. Sorry, I'm still laughing about that!  Too bad Treasure can't get bonus points for his creativity.  We're rooting for you!!
