I know about "predicted" life spans because of Hondo.  He lived 7 years and should have lived about 11 - 12 years.  Smaller dogs are longer lived, so we are hoping for 14 - 16 years from our ALD.  Anybody else have more information?

I hope you will get this.  We cannot respond to a message to the group.  Its purpose is actually to inform.  My ALD is healthy. He is only 3 but so far he hasn't had any health issues except  sometimes he is itchy and twice has scratched a sore that was easily cleared up.  I do know that Westies are a long-lived breed.  I do not have a clue about doodles' predicted live span range.

I am Bocelli's guardian mom.  He is the most WONDERFUL dog in the world.  One of the fantastic studs of Eden Valley Manor in West Friendship, Maryland. Pam is a fabulous breeder and her stock produces some of the most gorgeous ALD's I have ever seen.

Cheryl, I never heard of a Santo Bocelli puppy. I am a HUGE, HUGE Andrea Bocelli fan (totally unrelated). Where are the Bocelli breeders located?

Happy to have found this ALD specific group.  Finney is a Santo Boccelli pup (oops teenager, now 11 months old).  Are there any other Boccelli ALDs out there? Just curious... Would love to hear...
