So good to see another group starting. I had originally started by posting on here in this group, then starting the Arizona Doodle Romp Group as well. I think I got a lot more from the 3 months I had it advertised in Meetup.com. It costs $ to have an ad, but it really worked well and got our group started. Maybe we can do one Meetup.com ad together and advertise both groups again. It's not like they'd conflict in any way and I don't mind splitting the cost. I seem to remember $15.00 or $20.00 for 3 months if memory serves me correctly. Let me know if you would be interested in starting that up again.
I have made bandanas for the doodles for each holiday and it is SOOOO nice to see them all running around with the same bandanas on. Park goers definitely notice who our dogs are when we do that. I have made homemade treats too, but that is hard as so many dogs are sensitive to things, and why should anyone trust me with giving their dogs treats?
I will post a flyer up on the dog park bulletin board someday too, but always forget to. If you have that option, it would attract more locals. I am always surprised by how many doodles are at our park and aren't aware of the romp or DK. So a flyer would help.
That's about it for now. Oh, take pictures, it's fun to post on here and for everyone to see. And I do have a Facebook page, but there is really no activity on it. Or rarely. If you want to post on that and talk about Tuscon Doodle Romp, that might help get things started too.

Sounds great Jane! How about Feb 18th morning? I am by Thornydale and Magee, and there is a dog park off of Mona Lisa. Let's see how many dogs we can get to come.

 

Sue- would love to get pointers on how to get a group started!

We are going to visit Tucson in April and I think we will take the dogs????  If so, let me know and perhaps we can meet up again.

I have no idea why I was looking at Petfinders the other day....it always breaks my heart when I see "homeless" doggies....this time though I saw what looks very much like a doodle...I have 4 dogs already I can not possibly take care of 5....will someone please give this girl a home for Christmas...or pass this along....she has been in the Maricopa County Shelter for a week now, I'm afraid her days are limited....http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/21550239
