Hi There,
Is there anyone out there who knows of a good reliable, reasonably priced breeder of large size Goldendoodles that is within an hour or two of the Northwest burbs??

BTW the Bark Avenue Day Camp is nice. Beautiful place, clean, nice staff. They board dogs there as well as Day Camp and Obedience training. The Saturday free Puppy Playtime is kinda crazy - lots of pups running around. Bailee was a bit overwhelmed at first - there are some psychotic labradors and boxers. She actually spends the whole time going from owner to owner to get lovies and doesn't really interact much with the other puppies! She is getting braver and starting to play a little more as time goes on.

If you are in the Northwest Suburbs or willing to venture out of the city to the burbs :) here is something fun!
The place in Bartlett is called Bark Avenue Day Camp, here is their website:

I called this morning to verify what Matt their trainer told me and yes, they have a puppy romp every Saturday from noon to 1pm, only restriction is puppies must be under 1 year old and it's free! Their trainer Matt was REALLY nice to me on the phone and very knowledgeable. I think I may end up in his classes eventually - I want to get Bailee certified as a therapy dog when she is old enough to pass the test!
Bailee are heading over there today and I'll let you all know what she thinks of it!

I use Aussie Pet Mobile - they come to us and the prices are actually comparable to taking Rex to a groomer. Very convenient, friendly and they do a GREAT job. So good in fact, two other families in my neighborhood (one owning a Labradoodle) asked for the information and now use them. You can go to their site www.aussiepetmobile.com to find one that is in your specific area.

Similar to Barley - we cut Rex's face so we can see his eyes and the sanitary clip. We love his look so we don't want his hair cut short.

We took Barley to Dog-o-holics on Southport and Addison. They did a good job. We just did the face and a sanitary clip though.

Alright everyone -- really need your help on a groomer - I just took Marley to a groomer in the city and told him I wanted to keep her scrappy and scruffy and she turned out a bit too poodly for my taste (no offense).....

Soleil doesn't seem to mind the rain at all. Last Friday (our last nice day) she romped with another dog on the soccer fields and just ran through every puddle. Shewas a mess. We had to hose her down when we got home. Now she looks dingy. Maybe snow was better than all this rain!
PS - she also loves ice cubes.
