Welcome to the Dixie's Doodle Alumni group. Dixie has been breeding Austrailian Labradoodles for years now and I thought it would be fun to have a group dedicated to all the precious doodles that came from her program.

Let's share some info about our doodles! What litter did your doodle come from.. and of course, we want to see photos too!!

Dixie, I'm praying for Mudgee and for you. I pray that the Lord will watch over Mudgee and to give Mudgee relieve of pain and discomfort; and for you during this heart breaking time. I pray for wisdom for the doctors caring for Mudgee. God bless you.

Oh Dixie.... Mudgee is in my prayers and so are you! He is in good hands! I am assuming you are back in Georgetown, but if you come back to CS - you are welcome to stay with me if you want to be closer. Please do keep us updated when you have time..... Big Hug to you!

Thanks, guys, for your well wishes. I just spoke to the surgeon again and have an update:

The surgeon, Dr. Wolff (how appropriate is that?), called a few minutes ago to let me know that his condition has improved some. He was encouraged by the fact that Mudgee has made it to mid-morning, however there are still some concerns that are life-threatening. One is that he desperately needs to get his digestive system operational again. The last time Mudgee ate a significant amount was Monday. He did eat a small amount Wednesday and a tiny amount on Thursday. The longer his digestive system goes without functioning, the more likely it is that it will not be able to. Dr. Wolff wants to feed him through a tube, but he did vomit once, so they are holding off on that for a while.

Also, his heart rate is still high, and that needs to come down. His abdomen is still producing fluid too, but as long as that gradually slows it is OK.

He said that he is more alert now, but refuses to get up and walk, probably because he feels so lousy.

All in all, though, I was happy with this report.

Mudgee was so strong and healthy before this hit, and that is in his favor. Even yesterday morning, when we didn't realize yet that he was at death's door, he was lying on his back on the couch and seemed to enjoy me rubbing his tummy. Then he got up and pranced around, looking happy. When I let him outside I watched him run through the barn out into the field. He just didn't seem that bad off. I knew in my heart that he was seriously ill, because he was refusing to eat, but still those memories of yesterday morning plus this morning's report give me hope.

I will post again when I hear more.

Dixie, our prayers and thoughts go out to you and Mudgee. Also to those in charge of his care. How blessed he is that you took him to Texas A&M.

Oh Dear Dixie~ I pray for you, Mudgee, and those providing his care: to relieve his pain, guard him from danger, and restore him to health and vigor, so he may return to you and bring back the joy and love that you so treasure.
