Welcome to the Dixie's Doodle Alumni group. Dixie has been breeding Austrailian Labradoodles for years now and I thought it would be fun to have a group dedicated to all the precious doodles that came from her program.

Let's share some info about our doodles! What litter did your doodle come from.. and of course, we want to see photos too!!

Welcome Diana and Kissy! So glad you found our group... so tell us a bit about Kissy... who, by the way, is adorable!

The second B/CS Doodle Romp was a huge success. Shelby and Malu both swam for the first time. At first... by accident, they were wading and stepped off the underwater ledge.... then underwater, back up and swam to the side. By the end of the day - they both took the plunge and swam across the pond (15-20 feet). So proud of our doodles. In attendance.... Shelby, Malu, Maxwell, Knox, Guiness, Captain. It was a great day.... Shelby is pooped!

Thanks everyone! The hard work is paying off. :-) Yes, Dixie, his creative games ARE funny, I have my work cut out for me not to laugh at him because you know that's what he wants -- attention! But today, the jacketing process was fine, a total nonevent. YAY. Maybe he's outgrown that one! ;-)
His blog is here: http://alphinisworld.blogspot.com/

Great news about Alfie.... what an awesome Dood. Beth - can you send the link to your blog... I had been there once before, but I don't know where I got the link! I'd love to read about his training!

That's great news Beth. I read your blog about the games he played to avoid wearing his jacket. Too funny!

I'm so excited about Alfie! First off, he passed the necessary medical tests for becoming a guide dog...and secondly, his handlers where he was staying for the week gave him very positive marks both in general behavior and on his guide work. It's great to have him back and I'm thrilled to see how he's shaping up for his career. THANK YOU DIXIE!!! I really believe this guy will make a difference in someone's life when he grows up! :-)

since I live in Colorado now, I can't speak to places in Texas. But Christine's criteria is what I look for too. It helps if they have day care so you can check them out. I look for smaller places that have less than 10 dogs. Have found a fantastic place here in Boulder CO called DogTag. The owner is a trainer, has only 7 kennels, makes sure the dogs all get along. Has a great indoor and outdoor play area. Cody loves this place! When we drive over there, he alerts as soon as we get close and starts jumping up and down! He races to the door and dances around! So I know he's well cared for there. He goes for daycare when I am going to be away all day.
