Welcome to the Dixie's Doodle Alumni group. Dixie has been breeding Austrailian Labradoodles for years now and I thought it would be fun to have a group dedicated to all the precious doodles that came from her program.

Let's share some info about our doodles! What litter did your doodle come from.. and of course, we want to see photos too!!

Kielah and Riley are both shedding fur balls all over the house. It's not hair, but fuzz. Their coats are definitely changing, going from all fuzz to more beautiful curls. I'm hoping the fuzz soon goes away (it shows up really well on my light floors).

Dixie... I did take the plunge and get Shelby shaved... simply because of the heat. I was mentally prepared for her to lose her fluff but worried how much of her beautiful red color would disappear, I am happy she still has a lot of red color. She is adorable as the new sleek doodle. I can tell she is much happier... and cooler!

@ Julie,

You can also go to a friend's house or have a friend over to play, a dog that you know has been fully vaccinated. Mainly avoid heavy dog traffic areas, but having a doggie friend over to your backyard is a good way to burn some Doodle energy!! And most dogs up to 2-3 years old still like to play with a puppy. Got any friends with labs or goldens?

Do all doodles have the dreaed coat change? I haven't found any hair but I wasn't expecting a coat change. Jett has a beautiful coat (almost like Truffle's coat Dixie)

Christine, it sounds like the dreaded coat change. Brushing her a lot might help, or you could have her trimmed short, which I know is hard to do with your baby's gorgeous locks. :(

Lily is now 11 weeks old and has another 7 days of quarantine b 4 her next round of shots. We reaaaaaaaaaally need a puppy kindergarten training class/trainer session(s) to break up the week. Any suggestions in the Austin area?

Random question for everyone.... for the past few weeks I have been finding little red clumps of fur throughout the house. It doesn't look like shedding, but maybe clumps that come out after Shelby scratches. Does anyone else's doodle do the same thing? Shelby has a wavy fleece coat. Is this the beginning of a coat change? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Welcome to Julie and Lily!!

Enjoyed the photos of Fozzy on the lake and Minga's slide show. Thanks for sharing them!

I see Fozzy got trimmed. He looks great!

Well Jett's grandfather is Peabo...I'm not sure if they are half brothers or more. So Fossy is over a year old, so tell me did he ever grab and run? Jett can just be a stinker. Jett is very smart and we have to be on our toes. He is really sweet and loving. He notices everything and loves the water. It will be interesting to see if he likes fireworks too.

Fozzy is from Kona and Peabo, 4/9/2009--so I guess that makes them half brothers?
