Welcome to the Dixie's Doodle Alumni group. Dixie has been breeding Austrailian Labradoodles for years now and I thought it would be fun to have a group dedicated to all the precious doodles that came from her program.

Let's share some info about our doodles! What litter did your doodle come from.. and of course, we want to see photos too!!

every labradoodle needs a kid! Cody doesn't have any (although my grand nephew comes occationally), but when Cody hears the kids in the neighborhood playing, he's ready to join them!

very interesting on the snake aversion training. I'll see what my trainer here in Colorado says....thanks for the info

Cody needs this type training to stop counter surfing! ha! I've done everything I know to do to stop him, and he still does it! The reward is just too great I suppose!

My little 5 year old grandson has been staying here for the past week and went home today. My 2 dogs are laying on the bed thoroughly exhausted, but they keep circling the house looking for him. They have been hugged to death, had their ears pulled and have eaten no telling what,

but they are still wanting more. They are such good puppies!

A quick side note to the training: What the dog actually learns is that when it goes near the snake, it gets punished (shocked). So they don't really think the shock comes from the snake, only that they get punished for doing so. This is a punishment type of training, versus a positive or negative reinforcement type of training. But it gets the job done in this instance, as there is really no good way to use the other 2 methods to keep your dog from getting bit by a rattlesnake!! I hate the rattlesnakes.
