Welcome to the Dixie's Doodle Alumni group. Dixie has been breeding Austrailian Labradoodles for years now and I thought it would be fun to have a group dedicated to all the precious doodles that came from her program.

Let's share some info about our doodles! What litter did your doodle come from.. and of course, we want to see photos too!!

Love those pictures! How fun to get 2 doodles together. We had a play day with GDTx pups/dogs today & Dakota came -- he & Alfie played super well together. In fact Alfie didn't really want to play with the other dogs (labs and shepherds) much til Dakota left. Isn't that funny? :) I think it's just that they share a similar play style...both love to run and chase. :)

Malu and Shelby play date was a huge success. Shelby was pooped... and didn't fully rebound for a good 24 hours! It was great fun and they will be getting together sometime this weekend!

Wow! He does look JUST like Mudgee! That's a cute pic of Shelby and Malu together.

Maybe he will look like Mudgee when he is a big boy?? Fingers crossed!

He is about 17' at the shoulder and weights about 35 lb. He has not been growing as fast in the last month. He is filling out. I hope he will stop at 40 pounds. He is supposed to be a medium. (I'm hoping)

Well...at just-barely-7-months, he's about 21" at the shoulders, & weighs about 32 lb. I think he's got some growing to do yet, but even if he didn't he is big enough for a guide so I'm happy. How large is Jett?

I'm planning to try the cans in a bowl. I love what you do and I'm sure the results are heart warming. I bet Alfie is a very smart girl. He has such a blessed life ahead of him. Being Jett is very smart (1/2 sibbling to Alfie) I just need to be more consistant and have more training drills each day. Is Alfie standard or medium size?

I really like that video and am interested to hear how things go!
As for training -- thanks but don't give me too much credit b/c basically the GDTx folks have mentored me thru it. It helps to have professionals standing by 24/7 if need be! Hopefully now on puppy #3 we don't need it quite so much...!
Training's more a lifestyle than a schedule around here. We do short obedience drills multiple times thru the day...I don't even think about it, it's just what we do. I try for 2 training walks a day, 5-6 days a week. One will be just a nice long walk somewhere, the other an outing to a shop, office, downtown or whatever. Now he's getting older & more reliable, sometimes I combine errands with that 2nd walk. It does take time & effort but we have fun!

Thanks Dixie, we will give the can and bowl a try. I will let you know the results.
