Hi All!! So I have one of the doodles that falls in the "sheds like a you know what" catagory! She is an F1 goldendoodle has shed since she was about 6 months old and she is now 13 months. My groomer told me that blowing her out with the doggie hair dryer really gets a ton of the hair out - even more so than brushing. Hunter doesn't mind the dryer at all and I was wondering if anyone has a doggie dryer that they would recommend and where they got it..........
I use the metro handheld dryer for at home use. Dog hair dryers are much more powerful (and unfortunately are much louder as a result) in comparison to human hair dryers. This cuts drying time a great deal and helps with getting out the shedding hair, particularly if you brush them at the same time that you are drying them (brush in one hand- dryer in the other). Most groomers use a stand dryer to make it less combersome ( the blower can be adjusted to blow at the area that they are brushing out).
Metro has several models that differ in size and the way that they are configured. Take a look at their website to get an idea as to what style might work best for you.
I am just bidding on a professional pet dog grooming hair dryer blower heater on ebay 107.95 at this point with 4 hours to go. It looks just like the other types with three nozzles and ships to canada with a warranty. We are on holidays boating aug 13 for a week. I hope it gets here before then so we can blow him off each night before bed. I will let you know how it works.
