First, Cody and I are currently in North Carolina going through dog training school. It's really fun, but also really exhausting. We'll be done in 3 months, so if anyone knows of someone who will be looking for a trainer around that time, refer them to me. I'll post updates on this closer to graduation.
Second, and the biggest news of all, Cody has officially been chosen to play the roll of Sandy in Theatre IV's production of Annie this spring. The show runs from April 24 - May 17 at the Empire Theatre. If anyone wants to see him, you can get tickets by calling the box office at 344-8040. You can get special group discounts. I think a group consists of 15 or more, but don't quote me on that. Is it obvious I want everyone I've ever met to come see him? I'm so proud!
I also just wanted to say what a great time Cody, Hans and I had at the Hanover dog park last Saturday. It was a blast! I can't wait until the next doodle outing.
Congratulations Valerie and Cody! Can't wait to see Cody (Sandy) in Annie this spring. Cody is such a cool dog! Not only is he impressive following commands but he's also such a playful romper. Well done! Best wishes for more awesome success in your NC school from Dixie Max and Katie
Oh my CONGRATS CODY! We will be going for sure. It would be great if we can go as a group but if not we can just go on our own. Shall we bring treats instead of flowers for Cody?
I know I told you, but again good luck on your classes and I will keep my ears open for people in need of a trainer. Enjoy your time there.
Congratulations! That is sooooo awesome! I used to LOVE theater IV plays. They used to come to our elementary and middle schools! Annie is one of my favorites (and my moms!). She used to take us all the time as a kid! Where is the empire theater?
Great job Cody!!!!!!

It's located at Broad St. and Adams St. If you're coming from the West End and reach 1st St you've gone too far. There's parking at Adams and Grace (1 block away) and if you're worried about evening performances, there are policemen guarding the door and you can ask them to walk you to your car.
There are also a ton of restaurants in the area. My two favorites are Popkins and Tarrants. Popkins isn't open on Sundays, but Tarrants has a great Sunday brunch. I highly recomment the french toast. You can find more info on restaurants on the TheatreIV website.
As for treats, Cody will eat just about anything! And I'm fine with him having anything except for dog food. He only eats Eukanuba puppy or adult (we're mixing right now). Anything else tends to make him sick. It's weird. He can eat anything we give him, but give a bit of different food and he gets sooo sick.
Theatre IV and Barksdale have recently announced that they have a limited number 20 dollar tickets for the remainder of their current season. Once they sell out, they're gone. If a group would like to go, it may be best to pick a date soon!

How cool! Congratulations. I can't wait for Lambeau to meet Cody and see what obedience looks like in full action. We're still working on the obedience stuff. :)
That is wonderful news - Both bits of news!! Congratulations to both of you! And I would LOVE to come to the play. I think a group gathering would be a great idea - lets definitely get that going!! And Nancy, I like your idea about dinner before the play, too - sounds like fun!!
