Hi Everyone! I have 2 wonderful doodles and 6 incredible grandchildren. Two live close by, the other 4 live about 1200 miles away, but all of them love the doodles. The intown guys love to have sleepovers with the doodles. The out of town bunch is due for a week visit next week so their will be lots of kids & doodle action, photo shots galore. Here is what I have to share so far.

Not at all! Welcome!!! Your kids are at such great ages for a pup. Although, I think any age is. We got our GD when my girls were 2 and 3. As I recall our biggest challenge was the puppy jumping but that curbed fairly fast. It makes a big difference if the kids know how to react. I was told for them to turn away and be a "statue" in others words don't react at all to the behavior. The puppy gets the hint. I remember how excited we all were for the puppy. What size will your puppy grow to? Look forward to the pics. I'm still trying to find some of mine.

I hope you don't mind if I join you. We don't have our baby yet, but in 2 weeks we will be going to see her and I will have plenty of pictures to share of my three children with our little girl, Cimmy. My children are 9, 7 and 3 and are very excited to get our GD pup. They are already asking when we can get another!!!

I agree! Maybe over the weekend! My daughters make a big deal every day of leaving Ruby while they go to school and tell her how much they'll miss her. On days they take the bus, Ruby comes to wait with us and I always make her wave to all the children looking out the windows. My oldest daughter who is quite shy I overheard telling my younger daughter that Ruby is her best friend. They are all so cute together.

We can't be the only 2 members who think that our dog is so cute with kids. Yankee actually has so many kids in the neighbourhood that adore him and come running up to him all the time. I walk my grandson to and from school everyday and I have to stop at least a dozen times so kids can pet him and get kisses.
