About Me:

I live in Ottawa, am married with 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren. I am retired which gives me lots of time to spend with my doodle. I am also raising my 11 yr old autistic grandson. I am trying to convince my husband to let me get another doodle. Update: We just got our 2nd doodle in July09. He's an F1B named Finnegan.

I have a 16 month old goldendoodle named Yankee. He is an absolute joy. I originally got him for my autistic grandson but he has become a mommy's boy and doesn't leave my side. My whole family adores him. He is extremely well behaved and has been from the start.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?

I was looking for a dog with a wonderful personality and a good friend suggested a goldendoodle so I did some research and decided this breed was for me. I needed a dog who loved kids and would bond with my grandson.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?

I try to take him to the dog park on a daily basis to play with other dogs and have lots of fun. He found a best friend there, a mini doodle and we get together often. I love to watch them play. We play ball together as well. I like to take him sledding with my grandkids.
