Hi Oliver and Elizabeth,

We just adopted Oliver's mom Petunia in Mid April!  She is a real sweetheart and loves people.  What a great addition she is to our family.  Our other Doodle (Jaxson) is from the Soupy/Abbey litter on 7/21/2012.  Our dogs have a lot in common!

Also, Oliver continued to (slowly) grow until about 11 months.

Rudy is really cute--love his eyes! Oliver was estimated to be between 20-30 lbs, however she mentioned that up to 35lbs was possible due to the size of the grandparents. Now at 1 year and 6 months he's a tall and lean 30lbs. Oliver was one of the biggest in the litter so I knew he was going to be at the high end of the range. Both of his parents are 22lbs (Petunia and Soupy).

Hi @Linda, Charlie Brown & Beau. Thanks so much. :) that is so nice to hear about the size of the dogs. I was concdrned for a little while that Rudy was going to be much smaller than we haf hoped for. He is such a great size right now. Rudy was.estimated between 35-45lbs. He is just over 30 now. :) his brother that we are in contact with seems to be much smaller than him though so I find it interesting how the size can vary from one litter to another. I can't wait to see what the final size result is.

Jackie ~ Rudy is a doll! It has been my experience with Kim at ML that her weight estimates for her litters are right on.  Charlie our chocolate doodle is considered medium and stopped growing at about 8.5 mos.  He is now 2 yr 10 mos and still weighs 38.5 lbs. which was his weight at 1 yr.  His litter was estimated to be in the 35 - 40 lb range. Beau's litter was estimated to be 35 - 45 lbs and he is 40 lbs and is now

1 yr 2 mos.

Thanks Caroline, looks like you are correct. :)  Rudy is just over 6 months and is 30lbs and 18inches.  I am sure he will fill out a bit more and maybe get a little taller.  I am VERY happy with his size.  He is too big to carry around, but we can lift him no problem and he doesn't take up much space in the truck which is perfect for all of us. :)  He is also a perfect size for our kids.  I'm so glad we went with medium. I love this guy!

Hershey was 11 1/2 inches tall (at shoulder) at 18 weeks.  She  stopped growing at 7 months at 14 inches tall and 16.4 pounds.  Hershey is a true Mini.

My guess is handsome Rudy will be 17 to 19 inchs tall and weigh 35 to 45 pounds.

Well, my boy Rudy is 17 weeks old, Giardia free and absolutely wonderful. I am so curious to know how big he will be when he is full grown. He is 17lbs now and 14"tall at his shoulders. I'd love to know what you all would assume his adult size to be at and hear what your pups were at, at or aroud this age. He was presumably going to be 35-45lbs but I am starting to think he will be smaller???

Our vet also recommended using Sentinel but it didn't work, Oliver kept getting fleas. After three unsuccessful months on Sentinel, I did some research and switched to Revolution, Oliver hasn't had a flea since. Our vet also says that most people use Revolution on their cats because most cats won't take pills.
