Thank you! She is cute fore sure...and I think she knows it! LOL
I think it is recommended for the health of the mother that once a year is preferable. Technically they could have three litters a year, but the nutritional impact on the mom can be pretty heavy, which is why it is preferred to only do one a year. Ritzi and Marquee do make beautiful puppies. We are lucky that we didn't have the giardia issue. I also think that these puppies can have abit more sensitive bellies. Mine does get pretty loose stools if she eats table scraps, or too much of a rich treat. She does best on turkey or chicken, gluten free. She loves fresh fruit and veggies for snacks and treats. I used to buy chicken jerky treats from costco, or the sweet potato ones...but she got pretty sick. Vet said NO to treats that come from China. Several dogs have died from them. But finding treats not from china is tough.
My Mari is a little Ms. Diva, she knows she's very beautiful and act like she can do whatever she wants and doesn't listen to me. I enrolled her in private puppy training class and I always says you must act like a lady and behave yourself. I only wish she would listen to me more often. HAHA
Thanks for all the responses. :) And yes, I agree, ML dogs/puppies are gorgeous.
Manor Lake is near the water and it's very hard to not get giardia. My puppy had giardia, one of my puppy brother had giardia too, so basically I believe the whole litter had giardia. I went through 2 rounds of meds before knocking out giardia. Her brother went through 3 rounds of meds before knocking out giardia. It's very frustrating, but you got to deal with it. One thing about Manor Lake their dogs and puppies are very beautiful.
Has Manor Lakes overcome the giardia problem in their puppies? Do other AL breeders from the same area (and there seem to be alot) have a giardia problem?
Indeed! :)
Gotcha! Good luck, double the fun!
I think Barbara is asking me if I'm sure I want to wait so long for a puppy from an upcoming litter when there are such cuties available now.... I'm waiting to see if I can handle two sweet doodle puppies before adding a second one. I might wait too long and miss out on Ritzy/Marquee litter but I'll see what happens. The pups that are available now aren't either the right size, sex or color. And since my Cooper was the last man standing from his litter and older (from another breeder), I'd like to go through/experience the process of adopting from the beginning with Kim choosing a puppy a puppy that suits my life, getting birth announcements and pictures sent etc.. Fun and exciting :)
