Beau is also 3/4 poodle and 1/4 golden

Hey I just deleted our comment accidentially! Lucy is 4 months old now. She's a back cross which makes her 3/4ths poodle.I don't know if that's good or bad but she's the love of my life!

Hello to all! I am new to Doodlekisses - but seen this group and was very much excited to hear there are other doodle families that have similar experiences! Daisy is my pride & joy - next to my boys, of course! But she once, while at work with me was at a dead standstill and jumped up and over my coworkers desk to get away from the vaccum that was moving in on her! I was in awe! I have always known she was graceful and fast and athletic! But that was the first time I had ever seen her try something so high up!

Honey doesn't always want to obey either. She'll stay outside until you've locked the door, then run to the door asking to come in.

What is your dog's favorite color? Poodles see in color while others do not. We tested Honey when we got her with identical balls in 4 colors. She loves lime green, pink second, then red and finally blue. She prefers to chew blond barbies (leaves the brunettes alone). We are all brunettes at our home, though Honey is a blond. Thought it interesting.
Have you noticed any color preferences?

It makes me feel better to know that other doodles lie in a prone back legs flattened out position. I thought something was wrong with Capp's hips! It sounds like other doodles who can do that also run extremely fast and leap. My doodles do not crate themselves. They will kennel up when I tell them to do so. My two doodles are very different, too! Both are clever, but one is much more obedient. Joe doesn't always want to obey. He is impulsive, but his tail is like a windshield wiper that never stops!

Does your doodle check on everyone in the house, look bored and just go to her room? If I'm watching TV (a show she doesn't like), my husband is in the computer and daughter is asleep or reading in bed, she crates herself. Then 2 hours later she comes to say hi. Does yours do that? Just curious

Hi there,
My doodle does the same wierd sitting thing. I must admit it worried me for a long time. She also jumps like a gazelle over the lawn furniture and it's 3 1/2 feet high easily. She tries to jump the fence by jumping on her hind legs like a kid. Thankfully she doesn't climb! My daughter has taught her to jump/hop across the kitchen for a snack. : )
Other than those things, she loves to hang out and sleep near her people.

Does anyone have a doodle that can sit with his/her legs splayed out behind them resting totally on the floor in a really flexible pose? One of my doodles can sit that way. The other cannot. The doodle that can sit that way is more poodle in disposition. He can run and leap like a gazelle and sometimes just runs and leaps because he knows he looks good doing it. He also likes to walk upright on his back two legs and frequently bounces Tigger like across the floor. I was just curious if others have doodles that can do this.

My Gus is definately more poodle looking. Especially when he's shaved like he is at the moment.
