Making Your Front Page - Sharing Fun Ideas and Links

In conversation with other DK members I have found that there are a lot of fun links out there to get bling, countdown calendars, backgrounds and other fun stuff to build "My Page" with. I think it would be fun if other members shared their secrets!

Thank you Dori for the instructions for the pitapatta, I put 2 on my page and it is so cute. I need to spend more time in this group to do more with my page, but alas...work duties call first. Maybe when I retire? thanks again,.

Linnea...you shouldn't feel dumb...you figured it out.  That is great!  Not only did you figure it out, you started with a John Michael Montgomery song!  Very cool...I love the chorus..."You are my best friend....at the days end, I love coming home to you"!  I love the snowmen on your page.

Nancy...I am glad you figured out.   I think what you are saying is that I am suppose to go to my page, click on the section for photos, with the slideshow playing and copy the code.  Then, I go to the top section of MY page (mine has Rua's Happy New Year picture in it and her puppy stat's and milestones.  From there I go to the bottom and paste and save.  Then go back to my photos section and change that to albums.

I just don't know what embed code to copy.  I click on the Photo and view source but it is for my whole page.  I even tried typing <EMBED > and putting the source before the last >.  I am not quite getting what I need to embed, and if I need to type embed in.  I think I have the rest OK...LOL

Ha, Dori, I just figured that out!  Put the embed code into the same section you put the still photo in and save.  That particular slide show will work and the albums can be displayed in the photo section as your choice.  Did I make sense?  If not, let me know and I will explain again.

Nancy (Ned and Clancy) - How do you get a slide show AND photo albums on your page?  I want to do that, too!

Debbie sometimes the choices don't stay - don't know why, but eventually they do.

Thanks to all for your help and suggestions.....I finally have borders on both sides...I changed the pic and changed the setting to "tiled", funny, I did this last night and it would not work, but, started over again today, and voila!  it worked! I really enjoy looking at all of your pages! You all have done spectacular jobs creating your holiday pages!

well  I am going to try and work on the music tonight   But our page is decorated

Whenever I have encountered the one-sided side decor, it has been the theme. And tiling usually works when repeat vertically or horizontally doesn't.
