I read where there is a $12 fee for a license to use the Seal Beach dog park. Is that correct, and if so where would we get this license?

I was at the Malibu Doodle Romp too! My husband kept commenting about so many doodles, and all were so well-behaved. None of them stealing food from the buffet, not a growl or bark from the whole bunch. It was very relaxing to just let Kirby off the leash, even though she kept close by (she's a little shy) and watch the dogs interact. Next year, I'm going again - and I've got to meet you all - Michele, maybe my dog could be a twin with your dog!!
Carolyn - I did take a few pictures. It was hard to get good ones - I was busy running around and the doggies were always on the move. I really wanted to get all the dogs in the "find your doodle twin" contest, which was sooooo cute, but only a couple turned out. I need to figure out how to post them.
I posted a blog about the Malibu romp with the pictures I took yesterday. I didn't get many but the event was loads of fun. I finally got to physically meet Jacquie York, DRC director, and Michele Long, our Southern California DRC director. I also saw MaryAnn and Kanga and Roo. And I got to meet Patti Barry and thank her for making that cool cartoon of Ned and Clancy in the car. Thanks also to the wonderful committee of ladies from Malibu for putting this all together for the last 11 years.
Michele, did you take any photos at the Maliby romp? If yes please post them here, would love to see them. We were at the romp last year and I still keep the smile from the memories.
INCREDIBLE time at the Malibu Doodle Romp. Met many DRCers I've spoken to on the phone or by computer for years - Nancy & Skip, Frances, James & Sherri and DRC adopted doodles Trixie, Biscuit, Figaro. Well run and much fun! Thank you Malibu ladies for organizing ( and, of course, for donating!).
Welcome, Maryann. We hope to see you at some of the doodle get togethers.
We would very much like to join your group. We are new members and are so happy to have found all of you!!!
The Malibu Doodle Romp is on Saturday - Sept 8th! The Doodle Rescue Collective, Inc. is the charity this year - whooo hooo! If you want to receive an invitation - send an email to doodlereomp@earthlink.net. They limit entrance to 300 so you have to rsvp early. 100 doodles running free?! - should be super fun - I'm excited!
