Are you sure the romp in Malibu is Sept 4? Would they really have a romp on a Tuesday? I looked on line, but couldn't find any more info on it--where should I look?
Great article in 909 magazine.
There will be a romp on Sept 4 in Malibu. This romp is quite famous. It is kind of like what you think Malibu residents might create. A catered lunch is held in an oak grove while dogs either run free or stick with their owners. There are silly fun 'contests.' This romp costs money and you need to make reservations. The proceeds benefit a dog related charity and this year it will benefit the DRC, I believe.
Other romps are organized as wanted. Kate Papas sets up monthly doodle get togethers (skipping August and December) in Seal Beach. Others of us set up get togethers as we meet traveling dkers or just because.
When, where are the doodle romps in August, September?

Helen, Yep, Hershey got her bag of food samples AND a coupon for buy one/get one free from Canidae. We were there from 12:30 to 2 PM. We plan on joining your organization for Hershey's therapy training next year after she has her litter of mini Hersheys. Have you taken Kirby to St Joseph Hospital?
Hi Carolyn--Did you pick up all the free goodies from all the dog vendors? I got a huge bag of stuff!! I was there most of the day but didn't see you (Hershey) That is the organization that I do my dog therapy through.
Helen, TY 4 sharing the info about Dog Days in La Habra Heights. After Hershey's class for CGC in Brea we came over to the show and got information from Rick on the therapy training. What a FUN show!
Hey all!! Dog Days of Summer will be on Sat. July 28 at The Park , 1885 Hacienda Road in La Habra Heights 9AM to 4PM. My Therapy Dog group puts this on every year. Its free and fun. There will be sheep herding demos, flyball demos, agility, police dogs, gourmet food trucks and more. You are welcome to bring your dog. More info at petprescriptionteam.com It would be fun to have lots of doodles there. They also have an amazing dog photographer there too.
Caryn, My neighbor raises and trains service dogs for an organization in southern California. The last two dogs have been goldendoodles; one of them, Sierra, has gone on to the next stage of training, and the dog they have now, Aslan, is also a doodle. They asked for doodles to raise because they had come to know and love our doodle, Buddy. If you would like me to find out the name and contact information of the service organization, I'd be happy to do so. Maybe send me a friend request and then we can message each other about it. Joy
