I know.... I was dumb enough to ASK if I can just give the school record and leave at 4:00pm, and was told "NO".... Parent just left. I thought that they would get in trouble for just leaving and get warrant for their arrest or something, but no....It's just re-scheduled!!
This was already the rescheduled hearing since the last time the same parent NEVER showed up! Something is wrong with the system...

Our new state governor cut steeply in education. Many higher education, state university will lose 1/2 of state funding as well...How crazy is that? I know PA is in defisit, but is this where it need to be cut? Education and public health is most important to ensure pepeople's well being and future....
Sue,
Put in for a transfer and if an opening comes up at the school where your principal is being assigned to, you would probably have and 'in' at the interview. It seems to me that there is always teacher movement when principals are re-assigned and some teachers follow the principal to the new school.
In our district when there is a reduction in teaching staff, it is called an involuntary transfer and is open to anyone to accept. If no one does, then the teacher with the least seniority is the one transferred. The cool thing about an involuntary transfer is that the teacher can choose to move to any opening they want, interviewing only if another teacher of equal seniority also wants the same position.
