Where's the Poodle in my Doodle?

This group is for those of us with puppies or dogs who look far more like the Golden or Labrador halves of themselves than the Poodle half. This group is for us to recognize the Poodle traits that shape our dogs while sharing experiences.

So sorry.  I know the Doodle look is very important to some.  We wanted a Goldendoodle for the personality and we were willing to overlook the doodle look.

As far as posting photos, the second symbol from the left at the top of the"add comment" box is for adding images.  Put your cursor on it and it will show "Image".

I'm pretty sure my doodle will be smooth coated I'm pretty disappointed I wanted the doodle look

He sheds .. a lot.  It may be slowing a little (he is 7 1/2  months old) but he is a shedder.

How is the shedding on bugatti? Lucy sheds like crazy, I'm hoping she calms down once her adult fur comes in.

Wow... from the back Lucy and Bugatti look very similar.  Lucy looks more like a liter mate to Bugatti than any of his siblings.

Yes! Lucy does look a lot like Ollie. She's so smart, she knows sit, lay, come, stay, leave it, roll over, turn around, crawl, play dead, touch, look at me, but for the life of me I cannot teach her "no bite". I have so many cuts and scratches all over my arms and hands. But I guess that is another topic. In the mean time, here is a picture of her backside. She is almost 19lbs and almost 15 weeks old now.

Hey Sunik,

Lucy is adorable! She reminds me a lot of my pup, Ollie. Check out my page, and here are some recent pics:

Sunik, she is adorable. I don't think she is going to get any of those waves you hoped for.  She looks very much like Chuck W.'s doodle - he posted a picture of him at 6 months directly below your post.

Sunik, Lucy is so cute! She does look more retrieverish. I have an f1Goldendoodle as well. She is 17 weeks. Her hair is wavy but long. I'm thinking of keeping it long as long as it is easy to maintain. My other doodle is a Labradoodle and she was pretty fuzzy as a pup. She is scruffy looking with the doodle beard as a 1 yr old. It looks like your gd might be more flat coated, but I'm no expert. This is just part of the dood adventure!
