About Me:
I'm a student at Rock Valley College, a waitress, and the proud momma of a beautiful doodle named Samantha :D
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
Samantha is my best friend, we are always teaching each other something new. I received Sami on Christmas in 2009 from my grandfather, she was the newest edition to his breeding program and his first (and still the only) red. We hadn't been separated for longer then a couple hours until recently now that she has had her first litter. Sami is a fantastic mommy and we are all so proud of her, all six of her puppies are gorgeous and will make outstanding companions. I can't wait to have Sami back home, we miss each other terribly!
Where did you get your doodle(s)?

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
My grandfather has been breeding Australian Labradoodles for a number of years now. I hadn't spent much time with the breed before I received Sam, I now adore ALL Doodles.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
Sam LOVES the park, especially the trails, it still amazes me how she can run up ahead of me off leash, but always stops, looks, and waits if I'm too far behind :D We walk on leash through the neighborhood as well.
We're always working with different training techniques and reviewing basic skills, Sami is a very smart girl.
Does your doodle(s) shed?
Nope!
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
ME! I take care of her coat, ears, eyes, and nails.

I enjoyed reading your blog. I have every confidence that you will make it work with Sami in your apartment. It will be different for both of you but with the commitment you have to Sami, I know everything will be good. Just remember, things are rarely perfect, even if it looks that way to the humans from the outside. Dogs take what you can give them and are content - it is perfect for them. Love is the most important thing to them and you have that in abundance for Sami/

Hi Brittany, It's wonderful to hear from you! :) After one too many "poodle-y" cuts - and the awful "shaving" incident (gasp), I started trimming Toby myself with a pair of scissors for the body, and thinning shears for the face/mats. It's actually pretty easy and fun to do! Fortunately, his wavy hair is very forgiving and falls into place nicely. LOL!

Hi Brittany!  So good to hear back from you.  I am so, so excited to be getting my Doodle.  I'm watching them grow via photos your grandmother is posting on Shutterfly.  They are so cute!!  I don't know which puppy will be mine. I'll find out in about 3 weeks. Your grandparents will choose one for me.  I'm putting my trust in their decision and I'm sure after talking to your grandfather, he knows exactly what I'm looking for in a puppy.  I'll be picking up my puppy on May 28 so I have 8 long weeks to go!!  I'm putting off getting the puppy for an extra 2 weeks because I'll be off work for from Memorial Day until Aug. 1st so I'll have a full 2 months to spend with my baby before going back to work.  I CAN'T WAIT!!
