About Me:: In June 2007 I retired from 30 years of teaching elementary school. I love baseball, am an avid Red Sox fan and watch nearly every game...
I enjoy theatre - acting and directing with a local theatre group, as well as traveling to see theatre.
Love traveling with my doodle.
Being retired has brought wonderful opportunities for volunteering: I am a Zoo docent, and give tours and talks at our zoo, take the Zoomobile out to schools and centers, and make therapy visits with Nick to several rest homes in the area. Nick also has a weekly gig at a Children's Library, where kids read to her.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: Female F1 goldendoodle. She is gold/apricot, 3 years old, has her CGC and TDI certification

Where did you get your doodle(s)?: Breeder

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: When I decided to get a dog, I googled "no shed, no drool" and discovered doodles. My whole family has goldens and I love their personalities, so decided to go with a GD rather than an LD.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Travel, especially to the beach.
Meet people when I'm with her...instant conversation starter!

Does your doodle(s) shed?: A little bit but nothing major

Who grooms your doodle(s)?: Doreen at Petco! (I brush her about once a week)

Favorite Doodle Products?: kongs, bully sticks, Chris Christensen brushes

This family and their Bailey need Doodle owners to step up with donations, no matter how small, to the Primary Oncologist. Bailey's chemotherapy treatments for Lymphoma began the evening of the day the owners were told by their Veterinarian the diagnosis.

WORKING DOODLES!

Some of you know that Nick is a therapy dog and makes visits to retirement homes. We started a regular gig at one of the Fresno children's library branches yesterday....kids reading to dogs. Nick was a huge hit..and it was fun for me, too (as a former reading teacher!)...almost all the adults commented on how calm and mannered she was - none had ever seen a GD before, and I think they were impressed with doodles!
