Yes, our re-home gorgeous devil, Frankie, is still trying our patience. Plaster walls, Ethan Allan chair rails, wood door panels, papers, etc. STOP! I am so afraid his next victim will be our…Continue

Frankie is a great addition and he and Quincy are really getting along well. But the hair. Yikes. I can vacuum the burgundy rug that separates the kitchen island and the dining area and an hour…Continue

I am discovering that having a chocolate doodle does have at least one advantage (one that I preferred to ignore, actually). You can't see mud, dirt or grime quite the way you can on a light haired…Continue

I woke up this morning all by myself. It was even daylight. Miracle. I feel like a new person. When my DH told me it was "only" 5:50 AM I was delighted!
Frankie was going through a bark to go out and then want to eat and play several times in the middle of the night/early like 4am early tirades for about the last week, maybe more. We took turns going downstairs and letting him out, but then he would not want to go back upstairs, looking to eat at 4 am. When he did go upstairs,…

My DH was at the local beach yesterday with Quincy. They came home and he was puttering around for an hour or so. Then he came into the kitchen and handed me a note with a name and telephone number. "We met a retired couple who want to re-home their doodle. He's too much for them." DH told me he sat there at his computer debating on whether to tell me. LOL.
So guess who came for a sleep over! He'a an 8 month old F1 who has a gentle doodle personalty with the typical…

We took Quincy for his first Agility Class! I figured he would love it since he can scale a fence from a standing position and amused himself all winter jumping over the huge snow mounds at the top of our driveway. The back of the house was completely walled off with snow mounds, and I was wondering how he was getting to the front drive-then I saw his leap over and realized he was not scrambling up and over, he was flying up and over!
So, off to indoor class we went. My DH is a…

Sounds good, and I am sure he is happier.
Just went to your Buy, Sell, Trade discussion and it was closed, of course. Love Linda and I hope she was able to hook up with you.
My question, I've been interested since you posted the booties. We get a lot of mud in the Spring. A disposable booties though?? Hmmm. So would you please tell me the brand or a link that I can check out this product.
Thanks so much, Joanne
Thanks Lori, I have only been here a day and I do love your site :-) It is so professional, nothing like the fora we got in the Netherlands. Well done :-)
Ha, congrats. Almost there!
Hi Lori.
thanks for the comment & love of my pics and blog. Your pup is so handsome...I'm going to check out your blog too. :) xoxo Sarah
Lori,
Thank you for the add!! So funny seeing some other doodles named Quincy. We love our Quincy boy! We had no particular reason for choosing his name other then liking the sound of it and being particularly biased to having names ending in the EEEE sound.
I love that your Quincy also has a colored beard. Our Quincy has a red beard (he has a black coat). It seems to be common with other doodles. I am going to post pictures later tonight so everyone can see him. Thanks again and I look forward to learning a lot from everyone here on the site. I am really happy to be a part of it.
p.s. by the time I got home last night his eye lid had flipped and everything was back to normal. I have an appointment soon with the vet and I am going to make sure and bring the issue up.
Kara
Thanks! I think he's a cutie too... looks like you have a handsome lil guy on your hands... Quincy is adorable!
:) Thanks for the tip, however, I need at least another 20 or 30 years on me before I'll go that route. he he he.
You are very welcome!!!! :)
I can't believe we got rained out and Leo wasn't able to strut his stuff at Agility Training. We will have to cross our fingers for this coming weekend.
