About Me:: I live with my husband and two children north of Boston. We are near the ocean and love spending time outdoors. I am an artist (I paint and exhibit my work) and I am also home with my children. We are a bilingual family- my husband is French- so our Doodle is learning 2 languages!

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: We have a beautiful deep apricot medium girl named Raffia out of Shiraz and Gunner from Spring Creek in Oregon. We travelled all the way from Massachusetts to get her!! It was a fantastic trip and we have enjoyed our little Raffia so much! She is amazing- sweet, gentle, smart, funny, playful, mellow, gorgeous.. just a great puppy! She's 6 months old now.

Where did you get your doodle(s)?: Breeder

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: I love their look, their gorgeous non-shedding coat, their intelligence and sweet nature. The more I researched, the more I was sold! I was sure this would be the perfect family dog for the whole family.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Greet her as she comes out of her crate in the morning...
Fun training and tricks, lots of play...
Playing off-leash on the beach...
Snuggling...

Does your doodle(s) shed?: Nope!

Who grooms your doodle(s)?: No one yet! I trim her face and give her baths when she needs it :)

Now that I think back on it, its difficult to imagine our Odie as El Torro, Elwood, Mangoo, or the other names we were considering at the time. . . ? have fun with it and I know you will love that little sweetheart when he's in your care. I"m jealous that you're going out to Oregon to get him. I would love to have met Rochelle and her family. I have so much respect for her and for the good start that she has given my puppy. I think the flight was not too bad. We had Griffey flown up here from OR and he was minimally stressed. I think it is tough being away from Mom, siblings and flying. Your puppy will be fine though.

Is your dog going to be red? Post a picture when you get one. You'll love it.

Rochelle had been so highly recommended that I just put all worries behind me and put my trust in her. I gave her a good idea of my needs and wants . She picked a puppy that was perfect for me. As Ozzie has grown and matured he is exactly the dog I imagined having in my life. Rochelle is a fabulous and well-respected breeder. Should Idecide to add a little buddy for Ozzie in future, once more I will trust Rochelle. She really knows what she is doing. Enjoy your pup. You have picked the best of the best.

At 8:04pm on September 9, 2010, Anne said…: My brother lives very near Spring Creek, so he picked up Odie and flew to Mpls with him in a carrier under his seat! I felt that was a better way to go than having him shipped by himself. but it would be even better to go out there yourself, I agree. So excited for you! I remember that it was very hard to wait for that delivery date!

Odie is doing O.K. with the seizures now. We still haven't figured out what triggers them, but he is on Chinese herbs now and that seems to be helping. Along with diet changes and using non toxic cleaners and stuff like that. I'm hoping we do figure it out eventually, but things seem to be really under control now. He's a great dog!
