- I am married to a wonderful man and have two beautiful grown children. I am currently experiencing a horrific case of empty-nest syndrome. The cure -- a new puppy.
Other than that, I am an emergency room nurse and work at the same hospital where my husband works. I am very blessed.

- My new puppy Riley is due on September 21, 2010. She is starting her life at Almond Blossom Breeders and scheduled to join our family in November. We are very excited.

- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- I have always had golden retrievers and just loved them. My husband has mild allergies so this seems like the perfect choice. And who wouldn't want a dog who has minimal to no shedding.

Hi Shelley,
Gosh it's been too long since I ran regularly. I would pick up a book on training for a marathon. Essentially, start small and work up. But I can't think of any specific tips. Good shoes are a good start =) How long do you have to train? There are some websites I think that you could probably track miles and progress on.
