The dark stripe down his back is spreading and is coarser and more hairlike but isn't shedding. The new hair growth around his collar is very soft wavy cotton like. He is interesting... And so so…Continue

Any ideas on how it'll turn out? I know it can change fast and much.. but, I'm curious if there's been any experience with this puppy coat? I've been on this site a long while and explored many…Continue

This is a temporary issue for me however quite important. My mom adopted a 4 mo old female mini GD (Pippi) from the shelter and had to leave for a non refundable vaca yesterday. I am pup sitting. I…Continue

hi stephanie! two doodles are fun, right? congrats on your second! ozz and doc are precious. i love their names!
i think the below pic of fozzie was taken between 10 - 12 weeks. his coat changed dramatically until around 18 months old. it's so hard to predict how the doodle puppies will turn out, but it's sure fun to watch them grow up! he lost all of his hair on his body (honestly, he looked like doodle superimposed on a rat) around 5 months old, right before he grew the most gorgeous, thick and lush coat.
i need to post a few more recent photos of fozz... he's grown into a gorgeous dog. his hair is still very thick but has a little more wave to it than it did in my profile pic. when he has long hair, people think he's a small sheepdog. he's definitley got more poodle in him than our new puppy, yogi.
have fun! thanks for reaching out.
Thanks for the friend request! Sorry its taken me a few days to get to around to accepting it... very busy time of the year, not to mention having a puppy to watch... CONSTANTLY. So time consuming... Have a great holiday!
I'm just trying to find out what coat type I want and how I'll be able to select the right pup to fit that coat type. But basically I want one that is similar to my profile picture.
Thanks. I just joined trying to get some more info on Labradoodles. I'm looking to get one coming this summer and I'm trying to find out as much info on them as I can. As far as the doodle on my profile pic, its just one I found on the internet, actually from a place here in Arkansas. So if you have any good info for me just let me know.
Thank you for the welcome. I'm still learning how to negotiate around DK but there sure is a lot of information to be had.
Yes, Stephanie, Hondo did have a dark brown coat when he was a puppy. He looked very much like Doc. His eyes were a green color. His eyes turned darker and his coat lighter. I tried to find some puppy photos this morning, but the old photos from 2003 were on my old computer and not saved on the hard drive. His mother was a yellow lab and his father a black standard poodle. He ended up 105 pounds. There are many photos of him on my page (the older ones). Definitely the best dog I have ever had!
Doc is beautiful! Love his eyes and chocolatey coat.
Hi Stephanie, thanks for the warm welcome. Snickers is an absolute joy & total mama's boy! He's been great & my husband, who wasn't too thrilled at the idea of a dog again, is smitten too! That's says plenty!
Hi Stephanie ~ you asked what Beau weighs now. He is 14 wks and weigh 15.5 lbs. He is a medium size ALD, so I expect him to weight about the same as Charlie at maturity - probably 38 - 40 lbs. We had a standard poodle in the past and decided it was just easier to travel with a little smaller doggie (not thinking maybe we would have two some days). We are having fun though - and laughing at these two clowns every day. That makes it all worth it! Your new photos are all beautiful.
