I am a doodle newbie. I got my first doodle in January 2014 & my 2nd in August 2014. I had a lot of different breeds of dogs growing up & had Rottweiler's for 25 years. I also have 2 horses and love to trail ride every chance I get.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
I have a beautiful black medium Labradoodle, his name is Tucker. I got him when he was almost 6 months old. He needed a new home & I didn't hesitate to give him a loving new home. I loved him so much that I got a Standard Goldendoodle puppy & named him Bailey. It's amazing how different their personalities are. Tucker is very energetic and extremely smart, he can pick up a trick before I'm even done showing it to him. Bailey is very layed back, goofy and a big character. It's hard to think of him as a puppy anymore, at 10 months old he weighs almost 65 pounds and still growing while Tucker will stay at only 35 pounds. Tucker and Bailey love the water and take every opportunity to get wet!
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder, Rehome
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
I chose to get doodles after I lost every Rottweiler I ever owned to cancer. Each one developed a different type of cancer and I never had one live past the age of 7. The heart break was to much to bear anymore. By chance I went to visit a friend and she had just gotten two standard Goldendoodle's.. I fell in love with them immediatley. I love my doodles and will never have any other breed.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
I do everything with my boys. I take them out to the barn, long walks, hiking in the mountains, lake, parks & the beach. They seem to love the beach & the water the best, including running through the sprinklers. But they up for anything 🐶
Does your doodle(s) shed?
Nope!
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
I'm learning how to groom them myself
Favorite Doodle Products?
My favorite product & 'Must Have' is the Paw Plunger'. This cleans their muddy, dirty feet like a dream & to get them dry I use the Soggy Doggy towels & doormat. I like to give them Kong toys, Chuckit balls and the ropes with knots in them. They are hard on their toys & this seem to have lasted them longer than anything. They also love to play with a basketball.

Merced, that's a little too warm for me. If you get over here to the coast let us know and we will meet you at a beach. Carmel is the most dog-friendly beach in this area. I agree that doodles are the best breed of dog. Don't know of any from your breeder however.
Welcome to Doodle Kisses - he best website around for doodle lovers everywhere. If you come over this way to the beach, be sure to let me know and we can meet you. Interesting what you wrote about your Rottweilers. My first two doodles also died too early - Hondo of liver failure at 7 years of age, and Groucho Too of cancer at 8 years old. But I keep trying doodles. I have an ALD now and will be getting a sheepadoodle later this year. Take a look at my photos to meet my great dogs.
Welcome to Doodle Kisses Tina! Enjoy all the groups, discussions, blogs, photos (my favorite) and getting to know everyone. Please share some pictures of Tucker and Bailey as we love pictures on DK! They are both adorable and enjoy this great site!

So nice to be friends with you Tina! We are just about neighbors, as I live in Fresno. Maybe some day our Doodles can meet too!
