My DH was at the local beach yesterday with Quincy.  They came home and he was puttering around for an hour or so. Then he came into the kitchen and handed me a note with a name and telephone number.  "We met a retired couple who want to re-home their doodle.  He's too much for them."  DH told me he sat there at his computer debating on whether to tell me.  LOL.

Jasper is a loving golden doodle dog who has recently been diagnosed with t-cell lymphoma.  His only hope for survival is a stem cell transplant that must come form a sibling of his litter.  The breeder has already been contacted and has no info on the owners of his sibling.  Jasper desperately needs a bone marrow donor and for the donors generosity we are willing to provide a $5000 reward if the donor agrees to the painless and stem cell donation.  the donor must be born in Langley BC…

I sit down to write this after I just put my two kids to bed and my husband is reminding me that I probably don't have time to write a blog: he is right.  I am staring at my new double doodle as she sleeps peacefully, well until 9:00 and then it is play time again, and smile.  She has just been such a joy and blessing to our family that I wanted to write about it.

Obviously this isn't quiet true since I am there with him but still this dog's calander is booking up quick!



Loki and I have been pretty busy with our therapy work. We visit an observation unit at the University of Michigan hospital twice a month and he has been loving that! It's a low key floor with patients that are all stable so a calmer atmosphere for a new therapy dog is a perfect mix. When you move, you don’t really realize all the “start overs” you will have to do until you get there.  A couple of weeks ago Vern was very sick and I had to find a vet on short notice.  It started out with him throwing up and peeing blood and had both of us so scared with how sick he got so quickly.  I quickly had to find a vet and used Yelp for reviews and ended up taking him to a Vet who I really like.  Vern had to get an IV for fluids, shots for anti-nausea, antibiotics, X-rays, and a…

Ludo turned 6 months old on the 5th and graduated puppy kindergarten yesterday!!

It has been a long time since I last wrote on Doodlekisses.  Sam and I have had a great time learning in puppy class.  He is so much fun!  He graduated and we will continue on to the next level.  We are hoping to go to classes for Sam to become a Therapy Dog for visiting hospitals and elementary schools.  My life has been enhanced by having this bundle of energy in my life!…
