After a very courageous three year battle with cancer, kidney and liver issues, Rusty is in a better place tonight.  Because of his unfailing determination to overcome everything that life dealt him, we had a lot more time with him than we could have possibly hoped for.

Throughout all of his battles, he never lost his zest for life and was always the happiest, friendliest and most loving companion anyone could hope for.

Words cannot express the love that we have for him…

Yesterday, April 7th, was the big day for Milton!  Our goldendoodle is now officially one-year-old!  I woke up on the morning of Milt's birthday just a little bit sad that our teeny tiny puppy is now a massive 62-lb. dog.  Life flies.  Jeff and I were incredibly thrilled to celebrate Milton's birthday (Doodle Palooza!) with some of our closest friends, 24 humans and 13 dogs!…

Luca had a great afternoon since it was warm, he found a first class stick, his favorite ladies were in attendance and he is feeling fine.

Wednesday, John and I spent the entire day in Philadelphia, PA, attending a Photography Seminar with Scott Kelby.  We had a wonderful time, but the highlight of our trip was we met up with Cheryl of Cheryl and Finnegan.  Who knew all those years ago when I joined DoodleKisses, that this online dog website, would allow me to meet some members in person?  First, the cruise and now, a seminar. For those of you that have been following Ginny's (and Lyric's) litter of puppies, I am the proud new mom of Cisco (formerly known as Copper). I picked him up today, and so far he has been great. Ginny did a great job with him.

I watch a lot of TV and The New Adventures of Old Christine reruns are some of my favorites.  I have seen every episode probably three times because it comes on when I am eating my lunch, but that doesn’t stop me from laughing throughout most of the show.  On one of the episodes Christine forbade her brother and best friend from hooking up and for some reason “I forbid it,” has now become my new favorite catch phrase. …

Our Milton has spent time away from home at both Downtown Dog (his daycare) and at Momeaux and Pop's house over the holidays.  This past week though, Jeff and I spent a few days with my family in Florida for Easter, and the Milt was packed up to his good buddy Hops's house for his first doggie friend sleepover.  It was an all-day, all-night bash for those too!

In less than a week, Milton turns one-years-old!  It is hard to believe.  When Milt dog was a young pup, he was always the first to rough and tumble with another dog no matter how big or small the other guy was!  I loved how wild Milton was about other canines and how he was just so darn social.  …

The Milt dog gets bathed on a fairly regular basis; we are on a schedule of probably about once every two weeks or as needed.  We are currently washing Milton in our guest bathroom, but that appears to be wreaking havoc on our plumbing.  Dirt just seems to slide off our doodle.

Dog people are just the best!

I'm hiring a contractor to build me a customized doggie shower in the basement. Sounds a bit elaborate for someone who only a few months ago was complaining of how expensive home ownership is; but I swear it is really not going to be so pricey, and at this point it is becoming a bit of a necessity. Bending over my deep soaker tub is too hard on my back and leaves me in agony for a couple of days. My house is a dirty mess from eight muddy paws…
