Took Lachlan out this morning to the local Petco for a combination training/exercise/shopping expedition and for the first time at this store, where the employees are generally helpful and knowledgeable, found myself annoyed to the point of wanting to gnaw my arm off to escape the place. I ended up leaving (well, making a break for the parking lot) without spending ANY money, which is rather unusual for me in any pet store (awwww, look at the cute thingies, must buy thingies)!

Sugar and I went for a long walk this morning.  She sure is a good walker on the leash , and off.  She sticks right by me.  She is DOG tired.  What a good girl.

Sugar is a smart dog and a fast learner.  At 10 weeks she already rings the bell hung on the back door to go outside!  She sits, comes most of the time, and fetches so far.  She loves smoked pig ears too, they keep her busy!

 i wish to be reincarnated as a dog. I wish for a nice family that feeds me well, treats me nice. Maybe some meat...... Maybe a pool! holy cow, a pool, that would rock. Some sunny spots to snooze in, belly rubs, maybe an occasional vacation to some unique place. Oh yeah, trips to Pet Smart, Lowes and cool places. Oh, and one more thing, could I sleep in the bed sometimes? :)…

Well, THAT was an insane week ... that culminated in one really rough day ... and that day ended with a reminder that nothing's ever really that bad when I have these two boys to come home to!



A former co-worker passed away on Tuesday. I'm feeling an interesting combination of surprise, because she wasn't much older than I am ... sadness that she's gone ... and not sure what, because we were never all that close and haven't kept in touch since she left the project five years ago.…

We made it through the first few months pretty well. A few bite scars but overall it has been a loving ride minus the first few nights. Nothing a few glass of wine didn't cure. 

 Lilly had her first vacation at Dori and Rua's  Doggy Resort and Spa. I would highly recommend it. Rua is the best hostess and shared her toys and her mom and dad. I can not…

Hi Everyone,

Dispite all the earlier mishaps, my family is proud to annouce that we have adopted a rehomed 3 year old Goldendoodle from Pensacola Florida called Murphy.  The previous owners (Katie and Jeff) just had a baby and could no longer spend the necessary time taking care of him.  We paid them a small fee and had Murphy flown up to us on Delta.  The trip…
