What a wonderful Mother's Day weekend we had...



We decided to head to Columbus, Ohio for the weekend with Remington to visit Dan's Mom and Dad at their lake house on Buckeye Lake. I have to admit I was a little bit nervous because Dan has a very young niece (Mallory) and nephew (Elliott) and I wasn't sure how Remington Bear would act around them since he isn't around children too often. Well, last time I wrote we were still awaiting the results from the MRI on Dan's knee. We got them back and they showed that Dan more than likely had a ruptured Baker's cyst in his knee. The surgeons did however, want to got in a do some exploratory surgery just to make sure nothing else was wrong and while they were in there they planned on removing the screws in his knee.



We went in for surgery at 6:00 am on Thursday morning of last week. The surgery was suppose to last for 30-45… Continue

When Dan was probably 18 - 19 years old he was on his jet ski, jumping wakes, behind a boat. Well, he jumped a really high wake and fell into the water with the jet ski crashing down on his leg. Let's just say our stairs are quite steep!!!



Ever since Remington came home with us he has been a tad bit scared of those stairs to say the least. When we went up the stairs we carried him up... when we went down the stairs we carried him down. The past couple of nights, Remington has been so extremely good for me. He goes out to potty right away, no crying when in the crate, and all I have to say is "crate time" and he walks right in there with no problems. However, when I got home from work on Monday night Dan and Remington were going head to head! LOL!
