So it has now been 34 hours with Mojo in my care... he is settling in SO WELL. I am so impressed. I think taking on a pup the is close in age to Sammy was a great idea and I am so happy that the breeder was able to hear what I was looking for and come up with this wonderful guardian home match for us. I feel so lucky that we now have this second wonderful dog!



Hmmm... how do you add photos to blogs? Clearly I used to know how, but I don't see a way to do it here.

So my son Quinn doesn't like the new cut... in his words, "He looks stupid" but I really do like it. It is much shorter than I asked for but I figured that just means I can wait a long time before we go back. I love that I can see his face now and I think it is a great summer cut (even if it isn't at all summer like around here yet... darn it!)

Being accosted by my 2 year old son in his crate... the two year old LOVES Sammy dog... but I am pretty sure that Sammy simply tolerates my son Teagan and the love fest is not mutual at this point...…

So we have had Sammy for about 7 weeks now. Seems like he has been ours for longer than that though. Can't quite image not having him! He is our first family pet and first dog and it has been a whole new experience for our family. I have 4 boys ages 11, 7, 7, and 2. One of the twin boys prompted the purchase of Sammy --he has been asking for a puppy or dog for well over a year but I was waiting until the baby got bigger and I felt ready and could make a time commitment to a puppy. So proud of our little Sammy! He is now officially a puppy class graduate. We will even send off for the AKC STAR Puppy training medal because I know my 7 year old will like it. I am really proud of my son too. Class has been on Friday nights and I know some times he would rather have stayed home to play with friends but he never complained and he is really quite a shy kid but he clearly and loudly will call his dog in front of a group of people.
