1 week to go!

This time next week Kai will be home. :-) Everything and then some is ready for him, at least we think so. Toys, leash, dishes, bed even a car harness (thanks Marley, Kelly & Cole for that) and my favorite thing of all a front pack of sorts for a puppy. I walk everyday between 4-7 miles and this will allow me to take him with me. :-) We were very concerned that someone might let him out when they read the utility meters, so much so that we had a second gate installed that will have a lock on it. It's good we are busy with the move. If all I was doing was sitting around waiting for him to arrive I'd make myself and everyone else nuts! Between now and next Friday we will organize to minimize what is laying around for him to get a hold of.

Congrats on your new addition! I am so very happy for all of you. I just received word this morning that my future little girl's mama is in heat, so I am overjoyed that in about four (or a bit more) months, I'll have a new addition to my family! Looking forward to seeing more photos of your new 'baby'.

Adrianne~ What a GREAT idea! Kai is coming to us having been neutered at 7 weeks but I will keep that in mind should we ever need a one. Thanks!

Paint roller is for playing in the house, LOVE this, thanks Debbie! 12 pack of paper towels are in the garage. Nature's Miracle is under the sink. Elevated dish will be used for water only. Wastebaskets behind closed cabinets, bathroom doors are shut, toilet lids are down (hard to believe because other than me it's all men here but true) Pictures of new house will become availalble as boxes get put away. :-) Thanks everyone!!!

I LOVE the placemat! Looks like Kai is going to be one pampered pooch!!! I'd advise against elevating his food dish; we had a dog who died from bloat, and we didn't know at the time that our elevated dishes increased the risk of this happening. Can't wait to see pics of Kai in your new house!

You are ready. Once he arrives you will find out what particular things he enjoys getting into. For Ned it has been paper and we keep bathroom doors closed and wastebaskets behind cupboard doors or on top of things.
