A new discovery for Shelby....

This morning after our walk Shelby got her first experience with the sprinklers in my yard! She had to go potty and the back yard sprinkers were running, so I thought - well, I guess now is as good a time as ever... after all they will be on for the next several months!

Shelby loved the sprinklers! She ran around the yard non stop for about 5 minutes and love it! Then of course she came to the back yard soaking wet! It was so adorable... this along with her reaction when stepping/playing in puddles after a heavy rain make me know she is a water lover! I think I will buy a kiddie pool for the back yard so she can play in it to cool off!

Just had to share, because watching her run and run and run... made me smile! She was in a state of pure joy and had no hesitation going to her crate once she got dried off! She was pooped!

The WATER zoomies. How fun!!! I love it when they sleep the sleep of being well exercised. It's not time for our sprinklers yet. I can't wait now!! Kiddie pool sounds good too. My last lab I raised and her buddy played in the pool all summer and then chewed it down to almost the ground. Can't say I was thrilled with that!

I can't wait until the sprinklers come on so Darwin can run around in them. He goes crazy!

My Gracie Doodle is a water lover. She stands in her big water bowl when she drinks or lays down and tips it so the water spills on to her chest. I have a kiddie wading pool from Toys R Us and she has pool parties in the summer for all the doggie friends in the neighborhood. We also take her to the beach on weekends. When she sees sprinklers she also runs through them and dive bombs on them and rolls around. Yep...the Doodle loves water!!!
