another bites the dust

I fell off the curb today. I guess it was only a matter of time before I ended up in the gutter.  Lilly and I just started on our walk when I saw the swan (?) truck parked in front of the Bailey House. I thought-great I wll get stuff for scott to eat next week while I am in DC with the grandsones.and I started walking faster aimin' for that truck.  Before I knew it, I had gone from the pavement to the dirt and down I went. knee, hands, body, chin. Lilly was so excited that mom was done at her level she was all over me. By the time I had unwrapped the leash and stood up.. the food truck was gone. I hate it when that happens. I have gravel burns on my hands and knees.. In the old days, I would have just said they were rug burns.

Just remember when you were little and fell - you cried, got some bandaids and off you went, booboos quickly forgotten.  Nowadays.....  and that pales to the embarassment incurred if there were witnesses! LOL  So sorry you fell - I have come very, very close and count my lucky stars.

Oh my!  Boy are you lucky!  I have Accident Insurance because I know it is a matter of "when" and not "if" I fall down the garage stairs on land on the cement floor.  Last time I only twisted my ankle and hurt my arm.

Ouchie!!!! I've fallen many times with Lola, but it was always because she either pulled me or tripped me. Glad you didn't have any serious injuries!!! Did you do the "did anybody see this" check???
