another bites the dust

I fell off the curb today. I guess it was only a matter of time before I ended up in the gutter.  Lilly and I just started on our walk when I saw the swan (?) truck parked in front of the Bailey House. I thought-great I wll get stuff for scott to eat next week while I am in DC with the grandsones.and I started walking faster aimin' for that truck.  Before I knew it, I had gone from the pavement to the dirt and down I went. knee, hands, body, chin. Lilly was so excited that mom was done at her level she was all over me. By the time I had unwrapped the leash and stood up.. the food truck was gone. I hate it when that happens. I have gravel burns on my hands and knees.. In the old days, I would have just said they were rug burns.

To both Mimi Linna and Calamity Jane - looks like I'll be following you around on the Doodle Cruise with my video camera, hoping to get "that" shot of the two of you tripping over each other and plummeting into the waters below.  Thank heaven the water will be warm!

Oh I am so sorry and hope you aren't hurt too bad!  Did anyone else see you fall?  That is what always happens to me - I'm a klutz and when I fall it is always with the addition of humiliation of on lookers - lol.  Many years ago I fell off a curb in NYC, gouging my hand nicely on my charm bracelet and then 3 years ago I fell off the curb in Chicago, shortly after having spinal cord surgery.  NO I had not been to Yappy Hour yet.  Lets hope neither of us falls of the ship during the cruise :)

Oh, I feel your pain.  I've fallen of pavements in many countries.  The last time was in Prague. My partner turns around and there I am on the ground!  Love the last bit re the carpet burn...those grazes do sting.  I hope you are feeling better now, it's lucky you didn't hurt yourself badly.
