Bennie the Chin
Well, after treating Bennie for 10 1/2 months for congestive heart failure, he was finally too sick to go on. So I put him to sleep last night.
Malu liked to try and play with Bennie, but mostly just ended up agitating him. I didn't think he seemed like he was going to be sad about the loss (or my dog Bling for that matter, who I am pretty sure wishes she was the only dog in the WORLD) but this morning they were both moping about the house and acting pretty depressed. We did bring his body home and let everyone smell and investigate. This morning I drove him to the pet cremation place that we used for Bruiser and Bailey.
Still so sad to lose him, even though I knew it was coming and truly did not think he was going to make it past Dec! He was really happy and feeling good until just a few days ago. And even though I hate making that decision for my fur kids, I am grateful that I have the option to end their suffering in a peaceful way.
I truly hope that he gets to see my other dogs in some sort of dog utopia! We'll miss you Bennie.

It takes alot out of a household. A small prescence makes such and imapact. in our lives. You are brave to do what you did. My thoughts are with you.

So sorry to hear of your loss. We know how you feel. We lost our beautiful Sophie in April. Maybe they are playiing together.
