Big Murph Is TWO!
Today is Murph's second birthday. At least we think it's today....we originally thought it was 12/17, but then in going through some of his paperwork it showed 12/21 as his BDay. Murph was a DRC rescue, as most of you know....he came to us as a 10 week old puppy. He was clearly one of the cutest Doodle puppies I had ever seen, and when I found out his name was Murphy, I knew he belonged here. Remember this picture of "Little Murphy"?
Well "little Murph" has now grown into a "big boy", but he's still pretty darn adorable. We won't be singing "Happy Birthday" to him, because he HATES music...especially singing. Heck this "bad boy" is even afraid of the XMAS wrapping paper rolls. He loves his "Mama", and waits for any chance he can get to plant one of his big, sloppy Doodle kisses right on my mouth. I love him back. Guinness gets pretty annoyed with his antics, but deep down I think he'd be totally lost without his brother.
What's he getting for his Birthday.....Agility Classes. He so needs a "job". He starts mid-January, and I just have to hope that he does not decide to be "dog reactive" or he'll be thrown out on the first day. He should be okay, because when there are lots of dogs (like Daycare) he doesn't "fixate". Murph is a real "high energy" Dood, so I'm hoping that Agility will be fun for him. He's also getting a marrow bone, and his buddy JD and Auntie Karen sent him some very special treats.
So Happy Birthday, Big Murph! You are a sweet boy (most of the time), and I love you sooo much. I'm very thankful that you came to me.....we're teaching each other.

Sorry we are late but mom's computers (yes both) crashed then it was the holidays. We think you are very handsome and very lucky to have your forever family that is so wonderful! Good luck with your agility present-we can't wait to hear about it!!!

Happy Happy Birthday Murphy!!!! Good luck with the Agility, can't wait for the updates. I bet he is fine in this situation Jane, he will have a job to do and won't be thinking of other dogs since he will be busy :)

Happy Birthday Murphy! Our Murphy read this and said " WTD Mom? How come he gets Agility Classes and I only got an antler? I'm older than Him! " oh we'll Murphy, life just ain't fair sometimes. Maybe next year!

Happy Birthday Murph! Always makes me hopeful that a big dood and a little dood can be harmonious together. Duncan turns 3 tomorrow. I'm not ready yet but hoping to get him a "big" little dood brother in the future=)
