Cooper's CGC test is Wednesday

Cooper is taking his Canine Good Citizen test this coming Wednesday! I am excited, and have spent a lot of the weekend practicing. I believe he will pass...but I guess you just never know! He does well when greeting most people, but every once in a while he jumps right up on them? Don't know why? At any rate the test is at the training facility we go to, and he does great there....so I think we will be fine!
Anybody have any last minute tips or tricks? I am going to take him out and run run run him Wednesday afternoon before the test! He does a lot better when he is well exercised!

We passed!!!! We met friends at a dog friendly bar last night to celebrate afterward, so I am just now getting around to updating you all! Thank you all for your good luck wishes, he aced it!!!!! The testers were so impressed, they didn't believe he was not yet even two years old. Way to go Coop!!!!

Today is the day!!! I feel like I have waited forever! We practiced last night at PetSmart and Lowes for a few hours. We already went for a run this morning and will be headed to the park to play ball until we drop then a quick bath and we will come home and relax until time to head to the test! I am so excited!!!! I am definitely going to have "treat smell" on my hands today! I have them in my pockets and am surprising him with sits and stays and downs all day today and giving him a treat. Then, right before the test, I will switch it up to the mega treat - string cheese - so he will be more than willing to please!!!! I figure he can have the string cheese right up until the test, so he should perform very well thinking that is what he will get! Of course, he WILL get the cheese as his reward....when he passes! :)

Good luck today!!! We went to our CGC class today and the lady that does the testing set up some stations to test the dogs. We went from one station to the other and the dogs were tempted with balls, stuffed animals, etc. Our dogs did well with all of the challenges, even my problem child Duke! She said the test was easier than what we tested on this morning. I feel better about the dogs passing the CGC after todays challenges!
