Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

A little while ago I was in the kitchen cleaning up the dinner dishes and Quincy was helping me as he always does. I keep telling him he doesn't need to help, that the dishwasher will do the work, but he is such a good boy he insists on helping any way. I was at the sink when the next thing I know one freaked out doodle and the whole bottom tray of dishes from the dishwasher are flying across the kitchen. Quincy had somehow managed to get the tags on his collar hooked in the dish rack and in trying to get clear took the dish rack and all the dishes with him. He pulled the ring on his tags out straight so luckily the dished stayed in the kitchen, the doodle didn't. A few broken dishes, a little clean up and one very subdued doodle later, everything is back together. I don't think Quincy will be helping with the dishes anytime soon. I bought Quincy a new cool collar at Old Navy today with words on it. The main words were Wipeout Dude, who knew they would be so prophetic.

Poor Quincy! I'm glad he didn't get hurt. Here's a link to some tags that don't hang, so that this won't happen again and he can return to his pre-dishwasher-washing duties! http://www.boomerangtags.com/page.php?c=collartags&k=h

Glad no one was hurt! I can just imagine your face and Quincy's response!! It probably sounded a lot worse than what it actually was. Sounds like something that would happen at my house!!!

That is a great story. Max is a dishwasher helper also, as well as a "gardener".

Don't those little eyes just say "I'm Sorry Mom, Please Don't Be Mad At Me!" Such a face. Glad everyone is ok!

Oh, what a precious expression on your Quincy. He is a beautiful guy--just not good around the kitchen like so many men. LOL. Poor guy!!

Will Quincy even come into the kitchen now? Poor baby...he needs a hug and a kiss on his Doodle nose!

Great picture. You can tell he is "in the dog house." Hopefully you are able to get by alone in the kitchen from now on!

That must have been so scary for him! That is a adorable photo though. He is so cute!
