DOOdle update

well...chicken and rice for the last day or so has helped trememdously and Duncan's DOOdle is back to normal. For that I am thrilled....but now i'm noticing that his breath smells like DOO! Yes. It's bizarre. I'm wondering if this is related at all. It's been off now for the last few days. I kept thinking it was his rear end that was stinkin' but it's his breath. And even his toys after they get slobbered on smell poopie.

Hypothetically speaking...lets say he ate a piece of his or another animal's poop (which i haven't seen him do and i am always with him) would it leave his breath smelling that way for a bit? I'm going to brush his teeth later tonight to see if that helps. But if it is related to the upset tummy then maybe it'll work itself out.

There was a post on here once about a dog that had really bad breath and the owner checked inside his mouth and there was a stick or something lodged in the roof of his mouth that was decaying and causing the problem. Just a thought.

So glad Duncan is feeling better=) Depending on what treats I give Lilly her breath and mouth smells too.

I think more likely is he was "starving' for a few days which makes for ketosis and bad breath . Should clear up soon.
