Doodleproofing the Doorknob!

My four month old Labradoodle, Mulligan just opened the front doorknob with his two little front paws...  oh brother am I in for doodle trouble!

Now really - You can look at those eyes and even think Mulligan would do something like that?  Clearly he has been falsely accused. 

 

 Looks like you are going to need some of those child proof door knobs, but don't let Mulligan watch you pu them on, he will just take them off!  You think I'm kidding, but I am not.

Louie is quite the escape artist too. We have to keep the doors locked when we're home because he opens the door handle, then pulls the door open while he's standing tall, and out he goes! Usually when he sees the mailman or other neighbor dogs he leaps(Fly's) down 5 steps and over the fence ! He's also been known to lock the deadlock  when we've gone out for the mail and we've gotten locked out!

Thank you Sue!  I almost looked this photo over in my camera.  It was taken on Friday... just found it today.  Yes... this is the twist kind of doorknob.  He opened the door in one try!  Good thing I've got a screen door beyond it.  

 

Caitlin... I guess he's about 3ft or a little over.  Yes... trouble with a capital T this one's going to be!

What a beautiful close up picture. Our oldest has figured out door knobs too, but the handle type not the knob type you have to twist. That's pretty talented for a puppy.
