Doodles and Cats...

Holly just loves her friend, Felix, who is a twelve year-old tomcat. What is surprising is that Felix reciprocates her feelings. I see lots of pictures of Doodles and their kitty friends. I wonder if Doodles are more prone to good relationships with cats than other breeds of dogs?

Depends on the doodle.....and the cat. One of my cats is very laid back and doesn't mind the dogs, even when Moose and Mica come up and lick him until he's nearly soaked. The other cat comes out swinging almost every time. Which of course makes Moose want to egg him on. I'm convinced the doodles think the cats are tiny dogs with very sharp claws. :)

Like Riley, all Cooper does is attack our cats. He wants to chase them and pounce on them; I really hope once his training is complete we can iron that out. Maybe it is a black doodle thing? ;)

I hope that Riley will love my cats. Right now he just is attacking them constantly, but they do hold their own and smack him in the head when he gets out of line. I am afraid that I might be enjoying the action a little too much:)

I just adopted a 9 wk old kitten from the animal shelter. It has to be neutered before it can come home. I won't get it until this Saturday. I am really excited but I am also nervous. I think it is the new mother thing. What if it doesn't like us... What if I don't like it... I had a kitty that I just loved about 10 yr ago. I had him for about 7 yr and lost him on the roadway. I missed him for years. I thought it would be wonderful for Murphy to have a buddy. I made sure that the kitty was dog friendly. We took Murph to the animal shelter and the kitty purred as he rubbed up against Murphy's legs.
