Excited for 2011 - we are adding to our family!

It is offical - we will be getting Rooney a brother or sister!  I'm very excited.  DH got back from China in the wee hours today and while on our walk with Rooney agreed that he is totally on board (which is wonderful as I already have put our name on our breeders wait list - shhhhh).  We are crossing our fingers for a brother or sister in the April, May, June time frame.  Rooney will be 1 in August so I think the timing would be perfect.  This time around I am not going to set my heart on a particular color or sex.  Remember - Rooney was going to be a cream puppy - lol!  We might be getting a red or cream and it might be the medium size, Rooney is a mini.  The only thing it must have - a big ol black nose!!!!!  All we have to do is wait and start dreaming of names.  Maybe for a girl - Garland (for Judy of course) and for a boy - Stewart (for Jimmy).  Send me any and all suggestions!  Happy New Year - this is just going to be the best year ever!!!

Congratulations jane, a new doodle, how exciting!!!!...Wtg girl, u must have brought the idea up to DH at just the right time, lol, and of course I would have my name on a list too, before I broached the subject.  Saves time and you will ge the doodle sooner, lol....seriously, I think you knew what the answer was going to be, lol...Can't wait to see what you get, and the name u pick.  Rooney is just a gorgeous doodle, so I am sure the next one will be adorable too...

I am sure I told you before how much I LOVE Rooney's name - its actually my youngest daughter, Kelsey's, nickname - I call her Kelsa-Rooney and the majority of the time just Rooney.  NOW you have to go and mention Ava Gardner and my oldest daughters name is AVA!!  I think I will be on cloud 9 if you name the new little one Gardner or even Ava for a girl :-)  Kelsey AKA Rooney printed a picture of your Rooney and its on her bulletin board in her room!  Now she isn't going to be able to taunt Ava that there is a doodle with the same name as her if you throw Ava Gardner into the mix ;-)

Rooney is going to be a wonderful big brother.  Since Mickey Rooney's first wife was Ava Gardner, Gardner would be interesting.  I think Garland would be a good choice since Rooney & Garland were one of the best teams in movie history.  I mentioned that Rooney was going to get a brother or sister and before the words were out of my mouth he said "don't even think about it".  So, I will have to work on MY strategy.  I think I want a HORSE...yes, that's it...a horse.  Just think how easy it will be to convince him that another little puppy would be better!  LOL

Wow, another puppy how wonderful, if he or she is half as cute as Rooney you may never be able to go out in public again. I often think of getting a second doodle but feel so lucky that Quincy is such a wonderful boy that I am half afraid to tempt fate, but then again I retire in exactly 15 mos (not that I'm counting) so who knows. Right now I don't have time to do the grooming required for 2 doodles and then there's twice the expense but you know if a doodle should somehow fall into my lap who knows.
