Fenway's at the groomer and tomorrow it's off with the man-parts!

So I have an appointment for Fenway to be neutered tomorrow. He is not really a fan of being brushed....so I thought I would get him a haircut today so that for the next week or two I won't have to bother him with the brush. Poor thing, getting all gussied up.....has NO idea what is in store for him tomorrow! I am a little bit scared about it....mostly because he won't be able to play with Shiloh like he normally does. He'll need to take it easy and I am going to have to do that by keeping them separated....which will be interesting! Will he hate me after these two days are over? =)

I did the exact same thing for Fozzy. Got him cut on Wednesday and got him "CUT" by the vet on Friday. It was his first grooming and it went fabulous even though he is stranger leery. When I picked him up at the vet on Friday, he hadn't missed a beat. except for him trying to lick himself, you would have never have known he had the surgery. Except the next week we were at my sons baseball game and a lady asked commented "oh, thats a golden doodle right? I see you just got him neutered...." I must have given her a look like, well, that she was odd. Because then she commented that she was a groomer.

y'all are all sweet.....when I picked him up from the groomer....I didn't recognize him.....they totally shaved him and he looks like someone else's dog, not my Fenway! They shaved EVERYTHING....including the top of his head and his face and his tail! I wanted to cry....but I know that it will make it easier for the vet today with the surgery and the microchipping. I just reall want it to grown back.....he is SO sad looking! DH said "now he looks just like a mutt instead of like a labradoodle"

No, he'll hate the vet. Ever since I got Yankee neutered, he hates the vet's office and it's a constant struggle. He won't even take treats from the staff.

Keeping them apart will be the hardest. They will forget about that in no time.
