Yes, I truly think he was meant for us.  He is simply a great dog and what I hope most people get when they adopt a rescue. In no way is he perfect, but he is such an easy-going guy; eager to please.  Like Jack, he has NEVER destroyed, chewed, torn up anything unacceptable. When people find out he was a rescue, we still get lots of offers to take him  - like I would even consider it!

Jane, I can see why you were smitten with Stuart's picture.  He is one of the most adorable representatives of doodledom ever.

Once I saw a baby Stuart picture on ICupid - I was a goner.  More work, more expense, MORE LOVE.  I wouldn't give up my Stuart for anything.  Plus Rooney and he are buddies forever.

I'm so glad you got him, too, Nancy. It's always just seemed to me that Clancy belongs with you.

Kaytlin, I really understand your not being able to get another dog, no matter how much your heartstrings are pulled.  I knew I shouldn't get Clancy but after I posted him and e-mailed my friends, NOT ONE person had checked him out, I couldn't stand it.  I questioned my sanity A LOT until the dogs all settled their differences - and if someone had offered to take him, I would have let him go.  It made us have four dogs which is really too many to take places, but......   Once I decided to just make it work, I am so glad that we got him. He is probably our second best behaved dog ever. Next time though I really would try not to be a foster failure......

I recently started doing the same thing. I know for a fact that I can. It keep another dog. Jack loves being an only child. I can't afford insurance on two dogs. My mom can't have three dogs when I am sick...the list goes on and on...I have decided if I found one in a shelter I would pull it and ask the professionals for help in getting it a forever home.

I actually have gates and a big crate just in case..... We do have amazing rescue groups here and a doodle goes super fast.....but what kills me is the non doodles. People pass them around like a hot potatoe...I see them listed dozens a day...free to a good home. I want to cry......

I am sure this baby will get a good home.

That would be very cool if she ends up as Cooper's neighbor and BFF! And they will have you there to guide them in matters of food, training, health, etc. Just tell them not to expect her to be just like Cooper, at least not yet. :)

Well, you could always foster her for a private rescue, Kaytlin.....
