Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Giselle is a young Maltese who has had a hard life. She was tied in a yard by her first owners and the cord she was tied with became embedded in her neck. Then she was placed in a shelter where she was attacked by bigger aggressive dogs. The poor girl was petrified of people when we got her and was also totally scared of other dogs.
Enter Holly... Giselle has been with us less than two weeks and we just saw her out in the iceplant (Holly's favorite place to sleep) and she was sleepng next to Holly. They both woke up when I opened the door to shoot the picture.
Holly wins another Olympic medal - it never takes her more than two weeks (usually a lot less) to make friends with the most terrified Maltese.
And yes, Giselle is doing better with people too! She jumped up into our bed last might.

This post is so heartwarming. Holly, you are a special Doodle.

Holly is the best therapy dog ever! And you humans are pretty special yourselves.
Holly the Maltese whisperer. :o)
Richard... Holly is a special girl and Giselle is a lucky lucky dog to have been rescued by you and Holly. Her life has just taken a 180 degree turn. In no time she will have put that awful life behind her and only be remembering all of the good times with her two new best friends. Congratulations!
Wonderful Holly, wonderful you and what a great picture. With your wonderful care I am sure Giselle will only know happiness from now on, she certainly deserves only the best following that horrendous life.
How great!!!
