I am so excited. Several months ago I found out that Bailey had a sister here in town. We even used the same vet for when the girls were spayed ..and on the same day no doubt.. Anywho... I finally contacted her today and she is as excited as I am...we both just giggled with excitement to talk to each other.
We have a play date set for next week and we both were wondering...
Do you think they will know that they are sisters? Will they remember each other after the initial hiney sniffing to greet each other?
Can't wait to see what everyone thinks...

They will know - Peri has a sibling in town that she sees a few times a year at romps and daycare. Everytime they go right up to each other and play all day long. They totally know.
This is going to be so fun! Can't wait to hear how it goes!
They will DEFINITELY know each other. Allie's litter mate comes over for play dates at least once a month. Yesterday I had Allie in the car her head sticking out and they drove by with Bella sticking her head out her car window. Allie and Bella both literally about had a come apart because they were not getting to play. You shoudl have seen the booty wagging going on. Allie even cried a little bit. So sad, needless to say we are getting them together on Friday.
How exciting!!!! I think they will know eachother. Sounds like a great time!
Nancy-LOVE that picture!!
OMD....how fun! I can't wait to hear all about the playdate...and we will definitely need pictures!
Oh how wonderful I hope it all goes well! Please take pictures.
I'm willing to bet they will know each other. We had the same thing with Gus and one of his brothers named Sonny. We met Sonny's owners online and decided to get together. You could tell they know each other right off when they met. The real funny time though was when they hosted a small romp at their house. When we got there with Gus there were already 6 other doodles there. Gus and Sonny totally ignored the rest of the group and ran around together for about 10 to 15 minutes before joining the other dogs.
@Nancy... this photo seem like another good one to sell to a greeting card company! Love it!
I hope all goes well and I bet they will know each other. I did have litter mates twice. Once two male labs that loved each other and spend all day together, each with their own personality and actions towards the kids as if each had their kids and what to do with them. The next two were females and after two years of them esculating their aggressive jealous behaviour towards each other that got too visious to trust the kids outside alone with them we split them up and rehomed our Cinnamon. They both lived long lives 15 and 16 with us and the other perfect family with four boys instead of our three. I think it may have been that they were shelter dogs that maybe were accustomed to having to be first at everything to get it. I may have been able to tackle their behavior at this stage of my knowledge but at that time I was not as educated on training or having pets like Neely is. And to risk kids getting bitten or hurt of fearful was a big deal and not one We were able to risk at that time. These guys meeting each other shouldn't have any baggage so should just feel great to be back together! Take video's it should be cute!
